PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

CHARACTERISTICS

• Both topical (applied on the surface) and admixture (mixed into concrete) water repellents are available for new and older concrete structures.
• Topical products are available as “instant beading” formulations to provide water repellency typically within 15 minutes of application.
• In addition to water repellency, these products provide efflorescence control, wind driven rain resistance and mold and dirt resistance.
• Products are low viscosity for easy mixing and application.
• Emulsions are water based providing a lower toxicity, more ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY option.

 

PRODUCT OFFERING

CLASSES OF TOPICAL WATER REPELLENTS

1. New High pH Concrete – Formulated for application to new concrete that is typically higher pH.   Available in solids levels from 10% to 80%.
2. Mid-Range to High pH Concrete – Contain a proprietary catalyst to ensure desired cross-linking effect in older concrete applications where pH is typically lower.   Available in solids levels from 10% to 60%.
3. Instant Beading – Formulated to provide water beading on concrete surfaces within 15 minutes.   Available in solids levels from 10% to 60%.

ADMIXTURE WATER REPELLENTS

These products are designed to be mixed directly into concrete providing complete water repellency to the internal and external concrete structure.

 

OTHER RELATED PRODUCTS

1. 100% Active Formulations – These are available as fast curing and slow curing and are dilutable with solvent to desired solids levels.
2. Silanes – Available in multiple chemical configurations.
3. Siliconates – Typically used to impart water repellency in older concrete where pH is in the low to medium range.

USAGE

Products are sold as “Ready-For-Use” or concentrates that can be diluted as required.   Use and dosage information for all products is available on product TDS documents.

 

PACKAGING AND AVAILABILTY

Liquid products are offered in 40 lb pails, 450 lb drums and 2,250 lb totes.   Samples are available on request.

 

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Storage should be in a cool area between 4 and 27 °C (40 – 80 °F) in tightly closed containers.   Storage temperature should not exceed 46 °C (115 °F).
