Antifoams/defoamers are used to eliminate foam from manufacturing, food and treatment processes, providing efficient operations and a safe working environment. Silchem’s line is comprised of silicone, mineral oil and vegetable oil based antifoams ranging from 5% to 100% active in both water based and non-aqueous with economical price points. Between these, we offer ready-to-use and raw material antifoams. Our products are designed to fit any system – FDA & Kosher, low or high pH, biological.

SAF-1299 Anti-foam is a water dispersible silicone emulsion containing a food grade polydimethylsiloxane fluid. SAF-1299 is recommended for use in liquid feeds and inedible rendered product and meets the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
SAF-130 Anti-foam is a water dispersible, 30% active silicone emulsion that is useful to control foaming in many aqueous systems.
SAF-1327 Anti-foam is a water dispersible, silicone emulsion that is useful to control foaming in many aqueous systems. SAF-1327 has excellent stability when diluted with water.
SAF-139FGK is an antifoam which contains 30% active dimethylpolysiloxane solids and is effective for defoaming aqueous systems. SAF-139FGK is recommended for food grade applications where the silicone concentration does not exceed 10 ppm.
SAF-1397FGK is a silicone antifoam and is effective for defoaming aqueous systems. SAF-1397FGK is recommended for food grade applications where the silicone concentration does not exceed 10 ppm.
SAF-151 is a 50% active defoamer anti-foam agent formulated for aqueous metal working fluids, hydraulic fluids and industrial cleaners. It exhibits excellent knock down properties and sustained antifoaming efficiency along with excellent rinseability. SAF-151 is dilutable with water. It is particularly effective in highly alkaline and high temperature systems.
SAF-2011 Anti-foam Compound is a 100% active foam control agent designed for use in non-aqueous systems. This anti-foam compound is recommended for use in rendered products and meets the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
SAF-184 Anti-foam is a water dispersible silicone emulsion that is useful in controlling foam in high pH aqueous systems. SAF-184 is manufactured with the finest pH resistant silicone compounds and a strong emulsifier system. The strong emulsifier system will prevent the silicone compound, when released from the emulsion, from accumulating downstream and thereby keep the system free from silicone buildup. SAF-184 offers excellent foam knockdown and foam suppression compared with standard type defoamers.
